Contact Oregon House Speaker, State Legislators to Oppose In-State Tuition for Illegal Aliens On April 13, the House Education Committee will hold a
hearing on a bill (HB 2939) that
would make illegal aliens eligible for preferential
in-state tuition rates if they (1) graduated from an
Oregon high school, (2) maintained residency in the state,
and (3) agree to file to become a permanent resident when
eligible. HB 2939 is sponsored by Rep. Michael Dembrow,
