Rahm Emanuel one time chief of staff was called the “bag man” for the Clinton administration for his 'strong arm' tactics of persuasion.
From there he got two jobs. One
was on the board of Freddy Mac, the largest home loan
mortgage corporation in the world getting paid $250,000/year. This was
during the time that Freddy was cooking the books causing the housing
collapse. He also got a job with Wasserman
Perella in their Chicago office where he made 16 million in less
than two years basically on one deal advising SBC (now AT&T)
in addition to his Freddy pay. This is
during the time when they (Freddy) were “cooking the books” and caused
the financial
meltdown.
Whiteacre* helped make this deal; his company took a huge loss. They had to sell because they were buying another phone company called Ameri Tec and they had to sell a company called Security Link. A billion to bil & ½ dollar investment. They sold it to an investment group run by Emanuel for about 500 million dollars and 6 months later he/they later sold it for a billion dollars. Whiteacre was the chairman of SBC at the time.
Ed Whitacre was later appointed (This is under the Obama administration) chairman of
GM where upon he immediately announced he knew nothing about making cars.

The person ‘pulling the strings’ in the Obama campaign was a person named Bill Daley* One of his close friends/enemies had been Jim Johnson who was the chairman of Fannie Mae and his qualifications for being chairman of the largest mortgage company in the world was he had been Walter Mondale’s campaign manager.
SBC (formerly Southern Bell Co.) which grew into the “new” AT&T.

Whitacre led SBC through a series of mergers and acquisitions in building the largest provider of both local long distance telephone services and wireless service (through its Cingular division) in the United States. *Bill Daley, brother of Richard Daily, previous mayor of Chicago, pulled the strings in the Obama campaign.
